[UPDATE] The Delhi Archives established in 1972 preserves the archival heritage of the city. This week the archives went digital at www.archives.delhi.gov.in
They have records beginning in 1803 with over ten million images, maps, and other archival documents with more to come. To access the records, one must apply to the head of the archives, complete a form, and provide supporting documents See: http://www.archives.delhi.gov.
