Coat of arms of Castrop-RauxelAlternate names: Castrop-Rauxel [Ger], Castrop, Rauxel, Stadt Castrop-Rauxel. 51°33' N, 07°19' E, 6 miles WNW of Dortmund, in Kreis Recklinghausen, Nordrhein-Westfalen and is a former mining city in the eastern part of the Ruhr Area. Castrop and Rauxel were merged into one city in 1926. Jewish population: 130 (1900), 160 (1932).
