Surduc (Hungarian: Szurduk) is a communecomposed of seven villages: Brâglez (Tótszállás), Cristolțel (Kiskeresztes), Solona (Szalonnapatak), Surduc, Teștioara (Kőszénbányatelep), Tihău (Tihó) and Turbuța (Turbóca).at 47°15′18″N 23°20′52″E. 35 miles NNW of Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár), 25 miles WNW of Dej (Dés), 14 miles ENE of Zalău (Zilah).
