Carnarvon Old Cemetery: Postal address of cemetery: c/o Shire of Carnarvon, 6701, W.A., Australia.
No care. The unlandmarked, inactive cemetery is located in the Gascoyne District of Western Australia on flat land. Reached by turning directly off a public road, access is with key via a unlocked gate and continuous wire fence. The sign in English reads: Old Carnarvon Cemetery.
The oldest gravestone dates from 5 Aug 1967. The twentieth century British Commonwealth War Graves Commission headstone with English and Hebrew inscription is in original location.
Adjacent properties are housing. Visits to the Jewish grave are very rare. No threats. The vegetation overgrowth in the cemetery is no problem. Water drainage at the cemetery is good all year. There is only one Jewish burial, a World War 2 veteran. The nearest Jewish community is in Perth 900 kilometres away. The cemetery is one of nine remote cemeteries in the State of Western Australia that has Jewish burials.
