OSTERATH: 40670 Lower Rhineland
Near Krefeld which is near Duesseldorf in the lower Rhineland. In 1935 the old Jewish cemetery in Osterath (now a part of Meerbusch) was taken by the Nazis to be used for for private homes for large families. The remains were to be removed to the "New Jewish Cemetery" in Krefeld. Of 15 graves only nine are easily located in the in Krefeld cemetery in section 10, rows 8 and 9.
