DETMOLD:

32756 North Rhine-Westphalia (Gerz). An der Spitzenkampwete.

Old Cemetery:

on the road from Lemgo, originally before the gate; corner Siegfriedstraße / Richthofenstraße. Used about 1650 - 1880. No gravestones. The cemetery was expanded in 1726. By the beginning of the 19th century, the cemetery was partly built over. In 1939 the Reich Association of Jews sold the cemetery grounds to the city of Detmold. According to Müller, numerous gravestones were moved to the new cemetery (Spitzenkamptwete) and placed in 1948 since the old cemetery was paved over and used for parking.
- Circa 1960 Photos of 4 older stones (1731, 1733, 1768/1787 = Double Stone, 1808) that are already on the cemetery Detmold were brought (Spitzenkamptwete). Together with translations of the Hebrew inscriptions in the picture collection of the State Archives Detmold: D 75, No. 6703rd, other photos of the same stones and several cemetery views in D 109, No. 67, and D 75, No. 13854th.

New Cemetery:

Spitzenkamptwete between Richthofen and road. Used after 1883 - today. More than 100 gravestones visible. The gravestones from the 18th century come from Müller in the Old Cemetery on the grounds of the cemetery right behind the entrance making 101 gravestones.
