NOTES:
-
This community used the cemetery in Burgau (Swabia) prior to having their own burial ground in 1628.
-
A Mikvah was built in 1833 and a mortuary erected in 1898. The latter is still standing today.
-
Desecrations occurred several times during the Nazi era, between 1933 and 1945 and again in 1979. On some occasions, smashed gravestones were used as building material.
-
The cemetery is enclosed by a solid stone wall, 2 meters in height. There is a wrought-iron double gate, hung between two pillars, on the east side of the cemetery.
