LOCATION OF CEMETERY:

  • I. Landsberg a.Lech: to the end of Max-von-Eyth Strasse, past industrial zone. Follow signpost: KZ-Friedhof to cemetery gate.

  • II. Landsberg - Erpfting: Follow Eichkapellenstrasse abt. 1km into the woods to signpost leading to cemetery entrance.

IN USE:

  • Both cemeteries are the last resting places for many tens of thousands of Jews who perished in Nazi concentration camps.

NOTES:

  • The Landsberg a. Lech cemetery contains a few individual gravestones and a large chapel as well as some stone benches for visitors to sit on. Both cemeteries have a number of appropriate commemorative stones, displaying large Magen Davids. In the Landsberg-Erpfting cemetery is a fairly large house and also a few individual gravestones.

  • Both cemeteries are kept in excellent condition. They are enclosed by low solid walls and have wrought iron Magen David decorated gates.
