Located in the Bavarian Rhön Mountains, not far from the state spa Bad Brueckenau (10 km), Schweinfurt (50 km) and Würzburg (70 km), rural market community of Zeitlofs with its districts is located at the foothills of the Rhoen Mountains, one of the most distinctive volcanic mountains in Central Europe. A memorial plaque for the Jewish community is located on the right side of the former school of the village with the inscription: "In Zeitlofs to 1938 there was a Jewish community, synagogue -- Lower Judengasse first a reminder and a warning."
